to do next?

Take the far south/right edge, hug the red Early Access boundary without crossing it, and keep the Tadpole moving at full speed. Players report two workable lines: skim the surface, or stay low under the outer crest and use terrain as cover. Do not stop in open water; if spotted, break line of sight behind the ridge before repairing. This reduces risk but does not guarantee a clean crossing after the more aggressive EA 1.1 Collector behavior.

Fabricators do not pull materials from it. Players keep one seed copy of each farmable mineral there so crafting cannot consume the last piece; it also separates personal items in multiplayer.

Equip the Camouflage passive biomod, approach in a Tadpole, and exit as the Collector attacks the vehicle. Swim behind it, finish the scan, then stop moving so Camouflage can hide you until it loses interest. Distraction Flares are another repeatedly reported option; leave the Tadpole at the trench edge if you do not want to risk vehicle damage.

Find the hacked, open biobeds inside colonist bunkers and interact with the green DNA terminal. These beds apply permanent inventory upgrades, and later upgrades also add hotbar slots; they do not change your respawn point. If you missed them, use the Anomaly Scanner's Biohacking Chamber target to locate the relevant bunkers.
