My save disappeared after the EA 1.1 update. What should I do?

Restart the game client first and confirm that EA 1.1 has fully downloaded. In the source report, the save returned after a small update popup appeared. If it is still missing, do not overwrite the slot: back up any files that remain and contact support. A suggested .bak rename did not work for the reporter, so it is not a confirmed recovery method.
